With all the rumors and speculation surrounding free agency next week, I was really curious as to where we stood on the salary cap going into this free agency period. There seems to be a ton of conflicting information regarding exactly where we stand. Part of the problem is that the information is pretty dynamic and changes from moment to moment. How much money each team has is impacted every time they cut a player, and the amount of cap space each team has is influenced heavily by how many of their own free agents a particular team has to worry about. So the actual situation is pretty clouded.
